S.P.C.A

On Thursday the 27th of November the Year Three to Six classes went to the Chapel to listen to the S.P.C.A. They told boys and girls some of the heart breaking things that happen in Tauranga. For example: hurting your pet, starving your animals and lots more.

But there has been some lovely stories about generous people in the community who donate money or buy a pet from the S.P.C.A.

-medicines
-water

E3 donated a cheque of $73 and hopefully the S.P.C.A. can help out lots of animals with this money.

Pets

We are learning about pets and are trying to decide which one to get for a class pet. Everyone went in groups and studied a pet. But there was a problem as so many people wanted the pet that they had studied to be the class pet. So we had to do some debates.

It all ended up with doing a class vote. It came down to the Lorikeet so our Teacher did some research on this bird. He found out that they don't like too much noise. So our Teacher is going to ring some Lorikeet breeders to see if they are suitable for a classroom.

I am really excited about getting a pet!!!

WALKING THE PLANK

As part of the class "Brainer" we made the mysterious pirate walk the plank as a punishment for doing the crime. Alana solved the problem and won the 10 smiles.

After a while we all joined in and walked the plank too!
